RO operation and cleaning: a field guide

Normalize permeate flow, salt passage and differential pressure to standard conditions (ASTM D4516) before judging the membranes. Clean when normalized flow has fallen 10–15%, salt passage has risen 5–10%, or differential pressure has risen about 15% — earlier cleaning recovers more.
